Because of its high degree of beating and its highly burnished finish, multipurpose domestic paper with a wide variety of uses which consists essentially of unbleached cellulose as starting material and water-soluble polysaccharides as additives has a surface finish with anti-sticking action during baking, an adequate air permeability and moisture absorption capability for use as covering material in the microwave field and an adequate open-pored nature for use as food preservative paper. Owing to the absence of chemical additives, the domestic paper is suitable for direct contact with foodstuffs and decomposes without residue when composted. |
