PURPOSE:To obtain diverse subordinate melodies which are rich in variation by generating respective subordinate melody parts according to control parameters by subordinate melody parts, information on a main melody part, and information on chord progress. CONSTITUTION:There are a pointer parameter which specifies a part referred to from the main melody part and a range parameter which indicates a pitch distance (evaluated with a chord constitution sound) from the pitch of the reference part of the main melody part indicating the pointer parameter as control parameters, which can have characteristic values by the subordinate melody parts. Then rhythms (sound length array) of the respective subordinate melody parts are generated with the rhythm of the reference part of the main melody part indicated by the respective pointer parameters and the respective pitches of the respective subordinate melody parts are determined by constituent sounds of corresponding chords in the chord progress according to the range parameter indicating the pitch distance from a reference pitch (pitch of the reference parts of the main melody part that the pointer parameters indicate). Consequently, diverse subordinate melodies are generated. |
