<p>To aid golfers in judging distances, pairs of markers 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 of different contrasting colours are provided, each marker comprising an anchor 34 set in the ground and a body 42 in which is embedded a display having at least two areas (54, 56, 58, Fig. 3) at the surface of the body constituting numerical indicia.
