<p>PURPOSE:To save power, to miniaturize this device and to contrive the reduction in weight without losing necessary data by selecting whether an automatic power off function is to be operated or not, whether a resuming function is to be operated or not or whether it is resumed or not when power is subsequently supplied after power is automatically turned off. CONSTITUTION:An operating system controlling the whole is stored in a read only memory (ROM) 4. An application program developed by the other personal computer is down-loaded on a random access memory (RAM) 6 through a communication interface 5. In such a case, an operating system setting whether power is to automatically be turned off or not, how many seconds is spent for the allowable time, and whether the resuming function is to be operated or not, or an operating system which can select the function is resumed or not when power is subsequently supplied after power is automatically turned off is given. Thus, power can be saved and the miniaturization of the device with reduction in weight can be attained without losing necessary data.</p> |
