PURPOSE:To reduce the recognition work of an operator and to efficiently set retrieval information in picture information by designating collation information included in displayed picture information and storing retrieval information with corresponding picture information when collation information coincides with designated retrieval information. CONSTITUTION:Titles corresponding to picture information are collectively stored in a floppy disk FD. When the name of a key designated by using a keyboard 13 among the titles stored in the floppy disk coincides with collation information which is included in picture information that a scanner 27 reads and which is designated by a mouse 14, picture information of documents which are set in a scanner 27 is read, the title is added to picture information and is stored in an optical disk. Thus, the recognition work of the operator can be reduced and registration work can be saved. |
