The invention relates to a conveyor having a frame and an endless drivable conveying means (2), provided with carriers (7) which extend parallel to each other, transversely to the conveying direction (A) of the conveyor, said carriers (7) being coupled to at least one endless flexible coupling means (2). Said carriers (7) support pusher shoes (18), which at desired locations are movable along the carriers (7) in question by guide means (28, 29, 30) provided on the frame. A pusher shoe (18) is thereby supported on parts of the carrier (7) disposed under the upper side of a one-piece carrier (7), by means of rollers (22, 25) which are coupled to the pusher shoe (18) in question by means of arms (19, 20) secured to said pusher shoe (18), said arms (19, 20) extending on both sides of the carrier (7) in question through slots disposed between adjacent carriers (7). <IMAGE>
