A light-tight cassette for a spool of strip-shaped, light-sensitive material of varying thickness is specified, which consists of a light-tight housing formed by two housing sections, and is provided with a film exit slit which extends parallel to the axis of the spool and can be adjusted in width.
The adjustability of the width of the slit is effected when the two housing sections are arranged relative to one another under pretension in such a way that the slit assumes its largest width and that a clamping device is provided which acts against the pretension and with which the width of the exit slit can be set from outside. The adjustable exit slit enables strip-shaped material of varying thickness to be uniformly unwound without its surface being scratched.
