Composite material containing a thermoplastic matrix and a fibrous filler. The fibrous filler of this composite material comprises fibres of animal origin containing at least 2 % of fats, especially animal fats, and more particularly wool fibres. The insulating properties of this material enable it to be used widely, especially in the field of the building industry.
