The drivable feed roller pairs (3') locate with upper and lower rollers against the plain surfaces of the timber block, and at least two drivable side feed wheel pairs (7, 7') are movably mounted on a movable part or sled (17). The movable part or sled is movable by a power development unit in relation to a central axis through the timber processing machine. - The feed roller pairs (3') are pivotable from a starting position in which their rotation axes are at right-angles to the central axis (19) to a suitable position where the rotation axes are inclined to the central axis. The side feed wheel pairs (7, 7') have two drive positions, i.e. one in which they impel the block laterally, and one in which they do not do this. The system is also adaptable for feeding a curved block along an arc-shaped track to a processing machine. |
