This invention relates to a method of separating antibodies from erythrocytes comprising the steps of obtaining a sample of blood, mixing this blood with physiological saline and a solvent comprising a mixture of trichlorotrifluoro ethane and methylenechloride, centrifuging said mixture to form layers and removing said antibodies as the top layer from the centrifuge.
