METHOD FOR TESTING HERMETICITY OF SEALED ENVELOPES OF ARTICLES

A method for testing the hermeticity of sealed envelopes of articles provides for one-shot pressure testing with a testing gas and placing them into a gaseous medium not containing the testing gas, for a time sufficient for desorption of the testing gas from th surface of the envelope. Then the articles are placed into a testing chamber with a gas analyser, where detection occurs either of the testing gas and the gaseous medium or of the testing gas and one of the components of the gaseous medium seeping out of the articles, any presence of which indicates non-hermeticity of the envelopes.
