An artificial respiration device, which is simple to operate and can be used by an untrained person in an emergency, has a mouth piece shaped so that the patient's mouth is well sealed from the donor or the latter's breathing apparatus. The mouthpiece has a wide side which extends beyond the corners of the patient's mouth, a narrow side which is convex outward, and an air-intake opening located approximately in the centre of the surface bounded by the narrow and wide sides. The artificial respiration device can therefore be easily pushed between the patient's lips and, if necessary, the patient's teeth. It is preferably designed as a container for medical articles or liquids, for example. |
