Dehumidifying apparatus (101) provides a mixed convection cycle and has an upper section (102) corresponding to a standard refrigeration dehumidifier. A pressure developing fan (F) is housed in a separate compartment (106) at the bottom of unit (101). Wall (107) separates the refrigeration dehumidifier (102) from fan (F). Air is drawn through inlet (108) into compartment (106) and delivered to a heater (109) before being fed to flexible distribution ducts (110). Ducts (110) have the effect of moving the air outlet of fan (F) to improve air distribution so that air returning to inlet (103) to the dehumidifier (102) does not interfere with the operation thereof. A good mix of dry air, damp air and warm air is obtained without affection operation of dehumidifier (102). |
