PURPOSE:To improve both corrosion-resisting property and magnetic characteristics by specifying the composition and percentage of each component of an R-Fe-B permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:R (provided that R indicates one or more kinds of rare-earth elements containing Y), B and T (provided that T indicates Fe or Fe and Co) are used as main components, and oxygen and carbon are contained therein. The content of the above-mentioned elements is 27.5 to 33.5wt.% for R, 0.8 to 1.2wt.% for B, 50 to 3000ppm for O2, 700 to 1200ppm for C, and the remaining part consists of T substantially. As the rare-earth element R, it is desirable that at least a kind selected from Nd, Pr, Ho and Th is contained, or in addition to the above, one or more kinds selected from La, Sm, Ce, Gd, Er, Eu, Pm, Tm, Yb and Y is contained. Besides, by constituting a part of T with Co, temperature characteristics can be improved without impairing magnetic characteristics. |
