PURPOSE:To moderate conditions under which an energy beam is made to irradiate so as to decrease defective due to processing failure by a method wherein an insulating resin provided between a semiconductor film at the predetermined split part of a second electrode and the second electrode is made to contain inorganic insulating filler. CONSTITUTION:Amorphous silicon semiconductor films 3a and 3b are formed partially exposing the surface of first electrodes 2a, 2b,... close to one of the adjacent spaces. An insulating resin strip 4b is formed on the surface of the semiconductor film 3b aside of one of the adjacent spaces. The insulating resin strip 4b is formed in such a manner that epoxy resin containing inorganic insulating filler such as glass beads, mica, talc, or the like is applied in a pattern through a screen printing method and thermally cured. Unit photovoltaic cell SC1, SC2,... formed of laminated bodies composed of the first electrodes 2a, 2b,..., the semiconductor films 3a, 3b..., and the second electrodes 5a, 5b,... are divided into unit pieces along the insulating strip 4b... through the irradiation with an energy beam. |
