An ornament wherein an ornamental layer is formed on a base material made of resin, metal or the like is disclosed. The ornament has the base material, and a ornamental layer provided on at least one surface of the base material. The ornamental layer includes partially oxidized titanium or a mixture of partially oxidized titanium and partially oxidized aluminum.
