RD-19,522 METHOD OF FORMING ARTICLE WITH VARIABLE ALLOY COMPOSITION The method of forming a structure having multiple alloy properties is taught. The method involves spray forming and employs a single alloy system which is subject to modification by addition of modifying elements. The initial preform is made of the alloy without the modifiers present. The modifiers are added to mix with and dissolve in the alloy in a dispensing crucible supplying the spray forming operation. The latter portions of the preform have modified alloy content and properties which are modified based on the modification of alloy content.
