PURPOSE:To obtain the toner which exhibits a stable triboelectrostatic charge characteristic, has excellent environmental stability and affords sharp copied images by incorporating a specific polarity control agent into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The polarity control agent having >=2.4 and <=10.0 difference in solubility parameter from a binder resin and <=200muS/cm electrical conductivity is incorporated into the toner. The polarity control agent having >=2.4 and <=10.0 difference in solubility parameter exhibits adequate dispersibility, has sufficient electrostatic chargeability, substantially obviates the desorption from the toner surface by the mechanical impact occurring in repeated frictions and maintains the electrostatic chargeability stable over a long period of time. Thus, the toner which has the stable triboelectrostatic charge with an electrostatic charge imparting agent, has the sharp and uniform distribution of the triboelectrostatic charge quantity and can reproduce the stable images without being affected by a change in temp. and humidity is obtd. |
