PURPOSE:To encapsulate a gas such as nitrogen, etc., assuredly in a packaged body by a method wherein after dropping a liquefied gas on an object to be packaged, the object to be packaged is wrapped by a band shaped stretch film into a cylindrical shape, and both side lapped ends are sealed, and then the front and rear ends are cut in the lateral direction, and thus an intermediate packaged body is obtained, and after a designated period of time has been passed, the front and rear ends of the intermediate packaged body are sealed. CONSTITUTION:On a carrying device 3, objects to be packaged 2 are transferred one by one with designated intervals, and at a designated position, liquid nitrogen is drop- fed by a designated quantity through a filling nozzle 35. In the meantime, a stretch film 5 is continuously pulled out from an original film roll 6, and wraps the object to be packaged 2 under a condition in which the stretch film 5 is stretched in the lateral direction by a top and bottom, a pair of endless belts 10, 11 and a round belt 15, and by a center sealer 18, lapped ends are sealed to become a cylindrical shape under a stretched condition. After center sealing, the stretch film 5 is cut in the lateral direction by a cutter device 21 to obtain an intermediate packaged body 22. Then, after a designated period of time has been passed, an edge 22' is fusion-sealed by a heating plate 37, and by this method, a designated quantity of nitrogen gas is encapsulated and kept in a packaged body 39.
