PURPOSE:To obtain a shift extent of a pickup, by detecting the position of the pickup to convert it into an electric signal of the same type as the retrieving position information which is stored in a disk and performing an operation for both the electric signal and the retrieving information to recorded the starting position of an information block. CONSTITUTION:The position of an optical pickup 3 to a digital audio disk 1 is detected by a position detector 6 and then converted by a converting part 7 into an electric signal of the same type as the time code signal which is recorded to the disk 1. The output of the part 7 is made continuous over a full information section of the disk 1 and then fed to an arithmetic part 8. The time code signal extracted via a signal processing part 4 is fed to the part 8. The part 8 calculates the starting position of each information block and stors it in a memory 9. In such a way, the calculation is facilitated for a shift extent of the pickup 3, and at the same time a process of a wrong command can be rationalized when a random access is carried out. |
