The pump or engine has hollow pistons in cylinders round the crankshaft. A number of guide blocks (4) with bearings are mounted in round or square holes above and below each piston (3, D, E). These can be adjustable from outside and can be situated in the cylinder at either side ' of the area over which the piston rings work.
