PURPOSE:To simplify the hardware by obtaining the hough transform data on the next coordinates with only the mere addition of constants. CONSTITUTION:The coordinate data is defined as (x, y) and at the same time a hough transform formula is referred to as rho(x, y, thetan) = x.costhetan + y.costhetan. Under such conditions, a rho - theta parameter space is divided into (k) parts in the transformation circuit and a processing element PEn corresponds to each thetan value. In other words, the processing elements PE0, PE1...PEk - 1 share the different theta values (theta0, theta1...thetak - 1) respectively. Thus the hought transform data can be obtained with only the mere addition of constants. As a result, the hard ware is simplified and at the same time the processing speed is increased. |
