PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a large speed change shock in a vehicle dissolving racing through lowering engine output at generation of slipping on a driving wheel by stopping speed change operation in an automatic transmission during lowering output operation. CONSTITUTION:A driving wheel speed detecting sensor 18 and a driven wheel speed detecting sensor 20 are provided, and the slip quantity Dv of a driving wheel 17 is computed in an ECU 12 based on the detected signals from them. Nextly, the slip quantity Dv is compared with a torque control judged slip quantity Dvc, and in case of Dv<Dvc torque control is stopped and a speed change permitting signal is output to make a condition to enable speed change. Meanwhile, in case of Dv>=Dvc a speed change prohibiting signal is output to an automatic transmission 51 to make a condition impossible of speed change, and torque control is performed. Namely, the number of cylinders to be stopped is searched from a map based on the slip quantity Dv, and fuel injection to the cylinders is stopped to execute stopping of cylinders and lower output of the engine 1. |
