<p>PURPOSE:To bind sheets within a collating device through simple constitution by providing a moving-aside means to move upper and lower sorter bins, located adjacently to a sorter bin for binding sheets, against the force of an energizing means. CONSTITUTION:When collation of sheets on each sorter bib 2 is completed, a moving means 4 is operated and a sheet binder 3 is moved to the position of a sorter bin 2a being about to bind sheets. In this case, upper and lower sorter bins 2b held in a sheet binding position A by means of an energizing means are horizontally moved to a sheet binding position B by a moving-aside means 6. When sheets are bound by the sheet binder 3, the moving means 4 is operated again, the sheet binder 3 is moved to the position of the sorter bin 2 where next sheet binding is effected, and sheets are bound in a similar manner described above. Thus, only by moving the sheet binder 3, the upper and lower sorter bin 2b located adjacently to the sorter bin 2a is horizontally moved, and a space in which the sheet binder 3 is inserted can be ensured between the sorter binds 2.</p> |
