PURPOSE:To provide liposome preparation containing a liposome composed of a specific phospholipid and a water-insoluble active substance, capable of keeping the active substance at a high concentration and giving a freeze-dried product exhibiting extremely excellent long-term storage stability. CONSTITUTION:The objective liposome preparation contains (A) a liposome composed of a phospholipid having a phosphatidylcholine content of >=50%, an iodine value of >=10 and an acid value of <=30 and (B) a water-insoluble active substance, preferably an imidazole derivative such as 2-(5'-chloro-2'- methoxyphenylazo)-1H-imidazole or 1-[2,4-dichloro-beta-(2',4'-dichlorobenzyloxy)- phenetyl]-imidazole or vitamin E. The liposome preparation can be produced by applying strong vibration or shearing force to an aqueous solution containing hydrated liposome and the water-insoluble active substance, filtering the treated solution and, as necessary, freeze-drying the filtrate. |
