PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in image preservability and thermal response by constituting the same of an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound and adding at least one kind of a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are alkyl groups) is contained in a thermal recording material consisting of an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound. As this compound, methyl 3,4, 5-trymethoxybenzoate or ethyl 3,4,5- trimethoxybenzoate is designated. The use amount thereof is 30-400%, pref. 50-300% by wt., for the aromatic isocyanate compound. As the aromatic isocyanate compound, 2,6-dichlorophenyl isocyanate or p-chlorophenyl isocyanate is used and, as the imino compound, 3-iminoindolin-1-one or 3-imino-4,5,6,7- tetrachloroisoindolin-1-one is used. |
