The device is a metal component (II) intended to block the upper end of the pins (I) which are used for osteosynthesis of the long bones. The component is used specifically for blocking 2 pins introduced separately into the upper end of the bone. The device consists of 2 cylinders which are hollowed out at one of their ends, with a channel occupying two thirds of its length, and are closed off at their upper end. Each channel is intended to receive the end of a pin which is cut flush with its orifice of implantation in the bone. The 2 cylinders are separate from one another and are connected via a transverse bar, which is of a shape and length adapted to the anatomical conditions. The locking action is effected by 2 screws (III) which pass through 2 eyelets which are placed in the 2 corners defined between the transverse bar and the base of the 2 cylinders. <IMAGE>
