PURPOSE: To eliminate the requirement for step-back in a cable pack and hence ensure volume efficiency and pack stability, by providing an extension ring coaxial with a cylinder section at the end of the cylinder section, and further providing a base layer on the surface of the cylinder section. CONSTITUTION: A bobbin 12 includes an annular flange 18 having a cylindrical extension portion 19, and the extension portion 19 is coaxial with the flange 18 and is extended along a longitudinal shaft 20 of the bobbin 10. A spiral extension ring 30 is fixed to an end of the extension portion 19 with a bolt. The extension ring 30 is operable to lift fibers 21 and hence separate them from a cable pack 16, and has an outer diameter that is reduced when the fibers 21 are derived. The ring 30 is moved in the opposite direction to the extension portion 19 along the longitudinal shaft 20 by clamping a first screw 42. In contrast, the ring 30 is moved to the extension portion 19 by clamping a second screw 44. The movement enables phase of the ring 30 with respect to a base layer, and it is facilitated to eliminate the transfer of a step-back layer. |
