The present invention relates to a process for the crystallisation of synthetic emerald. This process is characterised in that an alkali metal fluoberyllate in an anhydrous solvent is used. The other major constituents of the emerald, silica and alumina, are incorporated in excess, at least for one of them, with respect to the stoichiometric composition bonded to the beryllium present. |
