PURPOSE:To obtain a refractory covering composite having excellent adhesion property to steel material showing improvement in peeling, dropout or fracture by combining, synthetic resin emulsion, straight-chain hydroxy acid (salt) and rock wool to a hydraulic cement. CONSTITUTION:The refractory covering composite is constituted of (a) hydraulic cement, (b) synthetic resin emulsion, (c) straight-chain hydroxy acid or hydroxyacid salt in which at least one carboxyl group or hydroxy group is added to each carbon, and (d) rack wool. The refractory composite is prepared by compounding 3-50 pts.wt. of (b), 0.001-50 pts.wt. of (c), and proper amt. of (d) in a manner that the total amt. of (a), (b) and (c) is >=10wt.% of the whole amt. of the composite. With less than 3 pts.wt. of (b), adhesion strength can not be improved, while with over 50 pts.wt. refractory property is decreased. With less than 0.001 pts.wt. of (c), adhesion strength can no be improved while over 50 pts.wt., the composite shows inferior hardening property. |
