The vehicle has a pillar which is formed as a support strap for the occupant (18) of the rear seat (17) position. The support is formed from a loop-shaped moulding on the pillar and fitted on the column on the side facing the rear seat position. The support strap moulding runs in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Between the pillar and support (21) is a crescent-shaped opening (23) for insertion of the rear seat passenger's hand.
