The shaft bearing housing has flanged parts (20, 22; 24, 26) resting against the identical annular halves (10, 12) enclosing the bearing aperture (14). The flanged parts have perforations (42, 44) for tensile bolts holding the annular halves together. The axially facing ends (28, 32; 30, 34) of the flange parts of both annular halves aer stepped. The step flanks (36) in the transition to corresp. flange parts have each two smooth flank sections (36', 36'') starting from the same ends.
