Electronically self-latching cylinder lock

A cylinder lock comprises a control pin which has an associated switch including a spike fixed on the pin and a resilient conductor fixed on the cylinder via an insulator. This is disposed inside a bore formed inside the cylinder, with the lower end contacting a slot formed on the surface of the plug so that when the plug is rotated, the slot will be inclined and the control pin will be driven to have the spike contact the resilient conductor. The latch is so installed that when actuated by the electronic circuit, the latch will latch the plug and prevent the plugs from being rotated. The warning unit is so connected to the electronic circuit that when the latch is actuated, the warning is also actuated to send out a warning signal. The electronic circuit is so connected that when any one of the pin tumblers is moved to have the associated spike contact the associated resilient conductor, the latch and the warning device will be actuated if the spike of the control pin does not contact its associated resilient conductor in a given time interval to disable the electronic circuit.
