Support frame used in assembly of vehicle roof - incorporates variable position bearing elements for roof variants

The assembly frame is for use in the assembly of a vehicle roof. It has bearing elements suitable for positioning a prefabricated roof and for dealing with additional components such as sun blinds and hand grips. To give max. flexibility in the assembly of roof variants the assembly frame (10) has bearing elements i.e. support stands (12,23,24,30) which are selectively adjustable in two or more preset positions appropriate to the particular roof being assembled. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and cheap method of assembling a range of roof variants with or without sliding panel sections.
