Ground connection for circuit board - provides conduction track, accessible from both sides, with very small potential difference of even distribution

The p.c.b. (3), coated on both sides with paper, has conductor tracks (9,10) arranged on both sides with a through connection (37). For equal distribution of potential the through connection (36) is formed from a bridge of solder (36) connected in an aperture (13) in the board (3) bordered by the tracks (9,10). USE/ADVANTAGE - Connection between boards, e.g. cooler and housing. Provides excellent electrical connection and potential stability, e.g. to earth provided by motor vehicle chassis, and under adverse conditions as dirt and vibration without too high bridging resistance arising. The earth can be the potential of the negative pole of the car battery but avoiding interference, e.g. from ignition.
