NEUTRAL PROTEASE II GENE, PREPRO TYPE NEUTRAL PROTEASE II GENE, NEW RECOMBINANT DNA AND PRODUCTION OF NEUTRAL PROTEASE II

PURPOSE:To produce a neutral protease II by transforming a fungus with a recombinant DNA prepared by inserting prepro type neutral protease II gene derived from a fungus belonging to the genus Aspergillus into a vector DNA. CONSTITUTION:A prepro type neutral protease II gene vector which is derived from a fungus belonging to the genus Aspergillus and shown by formula I (Sa is Sac1) Rv is EcoRV; Sc is Sca1) is inserted into a vector DNA to prepare recombinant DNA. A fungus such as Aspergillus oryzae (ATCC 20,386) belonging to the genus Aspergillus is transformed with the recombinant DNA and the transformant is cultured in a medium such as PPD medium. Then, a neutral protease II is recovered from the culture mixture and purified.
