A drawing head for ribbon type optical cables equipped with respective end connectors comprises a drawing member (13) connected at one end thereof to the axial strength member (1) of the cable and at the other end thereof to a pulling grasping member (29), which drawing member is surrounded by a slotted body (16) which has a length corresponding to a predetermined excess value of the fibre ribbon length and is provided with grooves (17) adapted to accommodate the fibre ribbons (4) disposed in alignment with the grooves (3) of the slotted cable core (2), which slotted body (16) is followed by a deformable support body (41) surrounding the drawing member too and provided with longitudinally separated and aligned housings (40) located at non-predetermined positions and designed to receive the end connectors (39) of the ribbons (4) of each ribbon group accommodated in one groove, tubular articulated segments (42) and axial preloading means (27, 45) being also present, the former offering an external protection and the latter compensating for the elongation of the drawing member when submitted to pulling stresses. <IMAGE> |
