A power controller contains a control element moved by a control drive. An actuation element influences the control element. The position of one of the elements is determined by a position transducer (101, 102) contg. a sensor part (46, 48) whose displacement is used to detect a sensor signal. A spring (80, 90) is connected to the sensor part or element and the part of element not connected to the spring is connected to a drive element (22, 34). The spring acting on the drive element produces a connection between the element and sensor part without play. The control can occur between the accelerator pedal and position detector (101) or between a throttle flap and the other position detector (102) via clamp-shaped springs (80, 90). USE/ADVANTAGE - Drive engine esp. in motor vehicle. Ensures transfer of measured element position to the sensor part, without play and independent of temp.
