PURPOSE:To obtain a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material having suitable interfacial adhering strength, excellent ply separation strength and compression strength, and suitable toughness by co-using a carbon fiber subjected to a surface treatment to generate functional group on the surface and carbon fiber with no surface treatment. CONSTITUTION:Carbon fiber is subjected to a surface treatment such as an oxidation etching method or a coating method, etc., to produce a carbon fiber having a surface on which functional groups such as carboxyl group or hydroxyl group is generated. Next, said carbon fiber is mixed with carbon fiber on which no surface treatment is performed of the functional group generated by the surface treatment is removed with a method such as heat treatment to use as reinforcing carbon fiber. Said reinforcing carbon fiber is impregnated with a carbonizing material (e.g. phenolic resin) to produce a prepreg, and the prepreg is laminated and molded under pressure, then subjected to a carbonizing treatment and a graphitizing treatment to afford the objective carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material. |
