PURPOSE:To obtain a cyan color type thermal sublimation transfer dye having both of high sublimation speed and image stability after transfer represented by formula. CONSTITUTION:A cyan color type thermal sublimation transfer dye is represented by formula (wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom, a 1 - 3C lower alkyl group such as a methyl group or an ethyl group, an alkoxy group such as a methoxy group, a halogen atom such as fluorine or a cyan group, R3 and R4 are a hydrogen atom, a 1 - 3C lower alkyl group such as a methyl group, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group such as a methoxy group, an alkylcarbonylamino group such as a methylcarbonylamino group, an alkoxycarbonylamino group such as a methoxycarbonylamino group, a formylamino group, an alkylsulfonylamino group such as a methylsulfonylamino group or a halogen atom such as chlorine, R5 and R6 are a hydrogen atom, a 1 - 8C alkyl group such as a methyl group, a cycloalkyl group such as a cyclopentyl group, an alkenyl group such as an allyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group such as a methoxymethyl group, an aralkyl group such as a benzyl group, an aryl group such as a phenyl group, a substituted aryl group such as a p-methylphenyl group, a halogenoalkyl group such as a chloromethyl group or a cyanoalkyl group such as a cyanomethyl group). |
