IMPACT SENSOR FOR A VEHICLE WITH A TEST CIRCUIT

The invention relates to an impact sensor (1) for a vehicle, which is connected to a test circuit. The impact sensor has an acceleration sensor (5), an evaluation circuit (6) and a trigger circuit (7) for a passive safety device. In order to be able to test the operativeness of the impact sensor (1) in a simple manner, it is proposed according to the invention to provide in the sensor housing (2) an electroacoustic transducer (9) which irradiates the acceleration sensor (5). The electrical signals thus generated by the acceleration sensor are tested in the evaluation and trigger circuit with respect to predetermined criteria with the aid of the test circuit (10).
