<p>A method is provided for determining the thermal history of an environment for purposes of monitoring thermal aging in equipment. The method utilizes a plurality of passive temperature measuring devices, and the range of activation energy values among the passive temperature measuring devices encompasses the activation energy of the thermal aging process of the equipment to be monitored. Following exposure of the measuring devices to the temperature environment of the monitored equipment, an equivalent average temperature is determined by using Arrhenius functions. The equivalent average temperature is combined with the equipment life data to determine the extent of thermal aging. <IMAGE></p> |
