PURPOSE:To continue a communication even in case of unexpected fault by enabling a spare terminal which is informed through a leased line to back up the system when an in-use terminal becomes unusable. CONSTITUTION:The spare terminal 3 is provided with the same program and data with the in-use terminal 1 connected to a communication network 2. Even in a period wherein the in-use terminal 1 is in operation, the data of the in-use terminal 1 are sent continuously to the spare terminal 3 through the leased line 4. If the in-use terminal 1 becomes unusable, the spare terminal 3 which is informed through the leased line 4 is put in charge of subsequent operation, which is carried on. Consequently, even if fault occurs, the in-use terminal 1 can be backed up by the spare terminal 3 smoothly and the communication can be carried on. |
