<p>PURPOSE:To have certain separated transporting of even whose sheets whose leading edges are folded, broken, or curled, by furnishing a low friction member, which covers approx. the center of a separator piece to separate sheets and which has a width constant in the sheet feed direction and narrower than the separator piece. CONSTITUTION:At a separated transport roller 5 and in the position opposite thereto in the downstream of a feed roller 3, a separator piece 7 with uniform material quality and coefficient of friction and a low friction member 10 having a smaller coefficient of friction than that of the separator piece are supported by a holder 6, wherein the latter 10 covers a partial area of the former 7. The low friction member 10 is installed in the center of the separator piece 7 while assuming a rectangle having a constant width along the sheet transport direction. Sheets 1 transported to downstream by the feed roller 3 to come into contact with the low friction member 10 are separated in the form of wedge by parts 7a, 7b where the separator piece 7 is exposed, and the leading edges of the sheets are sent from the low friction member 10 to the nipping parts of the separated transporting roller 5 and separator piece 7 and transported separatedly one by one.</p> |
