ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and to enable excellent ultrasonic flaw detection even for a soft material by heating an ultrasonic probe and controlling it to a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A controller 6 controls a heating body 2 to place the ultrasonic probe 1 in a necessary state of higher temperature than room temperature. Consequently, characteristic noise generation is suppressed and the sensitivity of the probe 1 is increased to perform the excellent ultrasonic flaw detection even for the soft material such as a plastic high polymer which attenuates an ultrasonic wave greatly.
