摘要 PURPOSE:To use as a positive electrode active material of a lithium secondary battery to improve battery performance by using manganese dioxide containing phosphorus as an initial material and having it soaked in lithium salt solution or baked with lithium salt mixed. CONSTITUTION:With lithium or lithium alloy used as a negative electrode active material, manganese dioxide containing a specific amount of phosphorus and lithium is used as a positive electrode active material of a lithium secondary battery. That is manganese dioxide containing 0.05 to 2.0wt.% of phosphorus and 0.1 to 5.0wt.% of lithium is used as the positive electrode active material and this material is preferably soaked in lithium salt solution or is subjected to heat treatment after the material is mixed with lithium salt. Thus the material can be used as the positive electrode active material of the lithium secondary battery for improving performance.
