Device for holding the straps of safety belts of the rear seats at an adequate height, without compromising the use of these belts for large people. It improves the safety and the comfort for small people, especially children. It consists of a ring (1) having a permanent opening on the longest side (3), into which the strap (5) is inserted. The ring (1) is integral with a fastening tab (2) for anchoring it onto the vehicle. When the passenger is small, he passes the strap through the opening (3), lowering the belt to the level of his shoulder and not against the neck, thus decreasing the risks of strangulation or other injury in the event of an accident. The device according to the invention is in particular intended for rear safety belts of land vehicles for the comfort and safety of children sitting on the rear seats. <IMAGE>
