The distribution cabinet for electrical lines, especially telephone lines, comprises a box (1) closed by a cover (4), this box (1) including, in its central part, a protuberance (3) provided with a tapping (3a). Into the tapping (3a) a screw (6) is screwed, the head of which (7) forms an annular groove (8) with the end (9) of the protuberance (3). The cover (4) includes a lock (10) which is integral with a locking member (11) extending inside the cover (4), this member (11) having a hollow (12) capable of engaging in the annular groove (8) formed by the head (7) of the screw (6) in order to lock the cover (4) to the latter. Use especially to prevent the opening of distribution boxes of telephone lines by unauthorised persons. <IMAGE>
