Method for manufacturing coated gaudy tarpaulins capable of resisting the conditions of a decontamination treatment, which consists: . firstly, in coating each of the two, right and wrong, sides of a textile support with a succession of several layers of a composition of pigmented plastisol which is jellified (gelled); . then, in printing the coated right side with a gaudy decoration, characterised: - in that one less coating layer is deposited on the right side than on the wrong side; - then in that, after having printed the gaudy decoration on the right side, this decoration is covered over with a layer of a composition of the same plastisol, but a colourless one, which is jellified.
