The present invention relates to a machine for manufacturing flat food products by cooking a dough. The cooking takes place via one face of the product, on one face (10) of a hot plate (8) which can tip from above about a horizontal axis (18) in order to deposit the cooked product, in the overturned state, on another face (11) which, according to one embodiment, is also defined by a hot plate (9) thus capable of cooking the product by its second face; after it has been cooked on its second face the product may be transferred again, by overturning, as far as a stacking device (22) or a conveyor, the cooking plate (9) in the overturned state tilting upwards for this purpose about a horizontal axis (19). Such a machine more particularly finds its application in the cooking of relatively thick flat food products. <IMAGE>
